Docent Application - The Florida Holocaust Museum

The Florida Holocaust Museum is now taking applications for our Docent Class 2023. Docents are responsible for leading student and adult tours through our core exhibition and our various art exhibitions. The Museum will provide the core training during the Docent Class and additional continuing education sessions pertaining to new exhibitions.

Docent class sessions will be held on September 26, September 27, October 3, October 5 at 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at The Florida Holocaust Museum.

You need to attend all the sessions in order to complete the course. The class cost is $50.00 (non-refundable).

This program is for individuals who are ready to become active docents – there is no option to just audit the class.

At the end of the class, you will go through an assessment tour with a museum educator. Docents are expected to give a minimum of one tour (approximately 1.5 hours) per week throughout the duration of their commitment to the Museum, which we would like to be long term. All docents will undergo a background check.
