DESCRIPTION:The Butterfly Project\nSunday\, July 26\, 2026 | Menorah Life | 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.\n$8 Per Butterfly | Recommended for students in 4th grade and older \nAll children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program. \nJoin Us For An Afternoon of Holocaust Education\n  \n\n\n \n \n\n\nSpecial Youth Programming (Ages 9+)\nYouth ages 9 and up are invited to join us for a meaningful\, intergenerational event to honor the children who perished in the Holocaust. This program is an important step in learning how to become an Upstander in our community today. \nIn partnership with The Butterfly Project and Menorah Life\, participants will paint ceramic butterflies alongside Menorah Life residents—creating a powerful connection that spans generations. Each painted butterfly serves as a beautiful\, symbolic memorial to a life lost\, and all completed butterflies will be assembled into a permanent commemorative mural to be displayed at Menorah Life. \nTo provide gentle and respectful context\, the program will begin with a brief\, age-appropriate documentary about the Holocaust. \nThe Butterfly Project is a call to action through education\, the arts\, and memorial making. Each butterfly memorializes a child who perished during the Holocaust\, with 1.5 million butterflies being painted nationwide. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
