DESCRIPTION:The award-winning modern rock musical based on the untold true story of the Jewish women resistance fighters during the Holocaust who waged an uprising against the Nazi regime.\nFHM Members: FREE | Not-Yet Members: $15.00 \n Reserve Tickets Today\n  \nRISE is a new rock musical about a group of Jewish women resistance fighters during the Holocaust. The show is based on the true stories of the Kashariyot\, or couriers\, young Jewish women who disguised themselves as Aryan and traveled through Nazi territory\, smuggling food\, messages\, and weapons to the underground resistance movements throughout occupied Europe. Enjoy a selection of scenes and songs from the show\, followed by a discussion with the writer and composer\, Josh Hershfield. A dessert reception will follow. \nThis program will feature ASL interpretation by LTC Language Solutions \n \n\nJOSHUA HERSHFIELD \nJoshua Daniel Hershfield is the American/Canadian/Israeli writer\, composer\, and lyricist of RISE. He studied at Antioch College\, Berklee College of Music\, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art\, before earning a Master’s degree in Holocaust Studies from Haifa University where he was an Azrieli Foundation scholar.  \n  \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Kristallnacht owes its name to the shards of shattered glass from broken windows that lined German streets on November 9-10 in 1938. \nThroughout the night\, thousands of Jewish owned businesses\, homes\, and synagogues were ransacked and destroyed in a coordinated series of attacks throughout Germany. \nThis was the first widespread use of massive force against Jews by the Nazi regime and figures as an essential turning point in Nazi Germany. \nTo commemorate Kristallnacht and honor its victims\, admission to The FHM will be free on November 9. DESCRIPTION:Presented in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League and the St. Petersburg World Affairs Council \n Reserve Tickets Today  \n \nFREE Lecture and Conversation with Oren Segal\, Senior Vice President of Counter-Extremism and Intelligence at ADL \nAs Senior Vice President of Counter-Extremism and Intelligence\, Oren Segal leads ADL’s efforts to combat extremism\, terrorism\, and all forms of hate\, both online and offline. He oversees an integrated team of investigators\, analysts\, and experts from the Center on Extremism (COE)\, the Center for Technology and Society (CTS)\, and Law Enforcement (LE) teams. The Center on Extremism leverages cutting-edge tools and decades of expertise to provide essential data\, analysis\, and resources on extremism\, antisemitism\, and hate to policymakers\, industry leaders\, and the public. COE collaborates closely with ADL’s Law Enforcement team to protect communities by offering intelligence\, threat analysis\, and training to law enforcement agencies. The Center for Technology & Society focuses on combating antisemitism\, hate and harassment across digital platforms\, such as social media and online games\, through research\, advocacy\, and partnerships with the tech industry\, civil society\, and affected communities. \n  \n
