How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. Anne Frank, July 15, 1944
About The Anne Frank
Humanitarian Award
It began with 16 Pinellas County High Schools and has now grown to include 100 public and private High Schools in Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Polk, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, and Pinellas Counties. Across the Tampa Bay Area, Guidance Counselors work with school administrators, faculty and staff to recommend students who have made a conscious decision to better the lives of others. These students hold true to the nature and spirit of Anne Frank, who despite everything she endured, did not abandon her ideals. The Anne Frank Humanitarian Award honorees are living the mission of The Florida Holocaust Museum, working to make a lasting difference in the community. In their actions, they truly honor the legacy of Anne Frank. Honorees are recognized in front of their peers, family and friends, educators, and community leaders at ceremonies hosted by The Museum to celebrate their outstanding efforts.
The Florida Holocaust Museum’s award has the endorsement of the Anne Frank House in New York.
Congratulations to our 2026

Looking for a way to get involved? Join the Anne Frank Humanitarian Awards (AFHA) committee 2027. The AFHA celebrates Humanitarian High School Students from across all eight Tampa Bay school counties, with great help from our committee in choosing these Honorees. Committee members are directly involved in nomination evaluation, award presentation, and student interaction. We need your help to spread our mission throughout the Tampa Bay region. Email AFHA@TheFHM.org for more information.
It’s a wonder I haven’t abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.Anne Frank, July 15, 1944
