Unlearning Jewish Anxiety: How to Live with More Joy and Less Suffering

December 10 @ 6:30 pm

Author Event with Rabbi Caryn Aviv

Feeling anxious lately about the state of the world and being Jewish? You’re not alone. Jewish anxiety is not our fault. It’s an understandable response to fear, uncertainty, and anti-Jewish contempt (also known as antisemitism).

Rabbi Caryn Aviv’s new book, Unlearning Jewish Anxiety: How to Live with More Joy and Suffer Less, explores the neuroscience of anxiety and why we are understandably anxious. We’ll also explore some common Jewish anxiety habits about our safety, worth, and belonging in this difficult world.

This engaging author event will describe the challenges we face and how we can suffer less, by practicing awareness, curiosity, and self-compassion.
