The Florida Orchestra presents Verdi’s Requiem at three Tampa Bay locations during the weekend of April 20th.
The rehearsals and performances of Verdi’s Requiem in the Theresienstadt (Terezín) concentration camp have been seen as a symbol of spiritual resistance during Holocaust.
The FHM’s Executive Director Elizabeth Gelman will speak with The Florida Orchestra’s President and CEO Michael Pastreich before all three concerts about the connection between the Requiem and Terezín.
For the first time in 10 years, The Florida Orchestra is performing Verdi’s Requiem, featuring the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, on April 20-22 in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. Music Director Michael Francis conducts.
Tickets start at $15 and are available at FloridaOrchestra.org or 727.892.3337 and 1.800.662.7286.
