I Say the World Should See Them: 80 Years Since Liberation
September 2025 – September 2026
“I Say the World Should See Them: 80 Years Since Liberation” is a new temporary exhibition inspired by a letter that liberator Rowland Wood wrote to his parents during World War II.
In the letter, Wood tells of the horrors he witnessed during the liberation of Ohrdruf and Buchenwald and emphasizes that world should see what happened there.
Our exhibit at The FHM features Rowland’s letter, as well as other artifacts, photographs, and documents from the Florida Holocaust Museum collections that relate to the liberation. The exhibit also highlights the stories of survivors and liberators from the major concentration camps liberated by American forces in 1945.
