SIMILITUDE

From The Florida Holocaust Museum’s Permanent Collection

July 1 – December 31, 2026

Similitude [noun] si·mil·i·tude | sə-MIL-uh-tyood

A likeness or resemblance that creates a connection, inviting us to recognize shared qualities, experiences, or meaning.

The Florida Holocaust Museum is pleased to present SIMILITUDE, an upcoming temporary exhibition drawn from a small portion of our permanent collection of over 25,000 artifacts. This exhibition will be on view in the South Gallery from July through December 2026.

SIMILITUDE explores how artists interpret and reflect upon the realities of the Holocaust through 56 works across a range of media, including bronze, watercolor, oil, photography, metal, and mixed media. Spanning realism, surrealism, and abstract expressionism, the exhibition brings forward deeply personal and collective acts of remembrance.

The works of 13 artists reveal a spectrum of human emotion. From fear and rage to profound loss and enduring hope. Together, they invite viewers to find moments of connection across time, perspective, and personal experience.
