Museum Happenings | September – December 2025

This month, The FHM officially Re-Opened to the public! Our Re-Opening marks a new chapter in the life of The FHM, and we’re excited to share it with you.

In the weeks leading up to Re-Opening, we welcomed a variety of special guests for behind-the-scenes tours, including The St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership, the office of Senator Rick Scott, our media partners, and more. On Tuesday, September 9, we officially cut the ribbon and invited the community back into The Museum. The following day, over 500 guests experienced our exhibitions free of charge at Duke Energy Free Day.

Thank you to everyone who attended our Re-Opening celebrations and helped make this possible, including:

  • Holocaust Survivors and their families, who joined us in person and in spirit.
  • Florida’s State Leadership, for your support of our mission: Lt. Governor Jay Collins, Senator Nick DiCeglie, Senator Ed Hooper, Representative Linda Chaney , and Representative Lindsay Cross.
  • The St. Petersburg City Council and Mayor Ken Welch, for standing with us at the local level.
  • Chief Anthony Holloway and the St. Petersburg Police Department for working hard to keep our guests and community safe.
  • Irene Weiss & Margot Benstock, for your instrumental roles in bringing Thor to The Museum.
  • The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity, for entrusting us with The Wiesel Collection.
  • Our supporters who spoke at The FHM’s Re-Opening events and shared your passion for our mission: Josh Bomstein, Stacy Conroy, Mike Igel, Sandy Loebenberg-Mermelstein, and Debbie Sembler.
  • Our Board, Staff, Members, and Volunteers for your passion and continued support.
