New Chief Development Officer

Welcome, Debbie Sokolov

We’re excited to announce that Debbie Sokolov has joined The FHM!

With over 25 years in the fundraising and nonprofit arena, Debbie brings professional experience and a deeply personal connection to The Museum’s mission.

A Legacy That Comes Full Circle

“The Florida Holocaust Museum is entering a pivotal moment of growth and renewal. Debbie’s extensive experience in philanthropy, strategic leadership, and community building, combined with her personal ties to The Museum’s history as a second generation (2G) Holocaust Survivor, make her uniquely qualified to help strengthen our future and expand our financial resource development across Florida and beyond.”

Eric Stillman, President and CEO

Deep Roots in the Mission

Debbie’s connection to The FHM runs deep. Her parents, Marietta and Ernest Drucker, were Holocaust Survivors and among The Museum’s founding members. They volunteered as docents and speakers, sharing their stories with thousands of visitors. Debbie followed in their footsteps as part of The Museum’s first docent class and an active member of the Generations After group.

“I’m honored to return to the place that has meant so much to my family,” said Sokolov. “The Florida Holocaust Museum is more than an institution; it’s a living legacy of courage, remembrance, and education. I look forward to advancing its mission and ensuring the lessons of the Holocaust continue to inspire action.”
