Florida Holocaust Museum Welcomes New Directors and Officers

St. Petersburg, FL (July 24, 2025) – The Florida Holocaust Museum is proud to announce the appointment of new Directors and Officers, ushering in a new era of leadership committed to preserving the legacy of the Holocaust and advancing human rights through education and remembrance.

Stacy Conroy has been elected Chair of the Board, succeeding Joshua Bomstein, who concluded his term at The Museum’s Annual Meeting on June 19. Conroy, a seasoned leader with a strong background in philanthropy and civic engagement, brings a forward-thinking vision and deep commitment to The Museum’s mission.

“I’m honored to serve as the Chair of The Florida Holocaust Museum at this pivotal time,” said Conroy. “We are not only preserving history, we are actively shaping the future by empowering the next generation to stand up against hate. I look forward to working with this talented board and the incredible FHM team to expand our impact across Florida and beyond.”

Also elected as Officers were Dana Justus as Vice Chair, Dawn Siler-Nixon as Secretary, and David Alvarez as Treasurer. Josh Bomstein now serves as Immediate Past Chair.

“The Florida Holocaust Museum is fortunate to have a dynamic and dedicated group of leaders guiding us forward,” said Eric Stillman, President and CEO of The Florida Holocaust Museum. “As we look to reopen our doors in September, Stacy’s leadership and strategic insight will be invaluable as we continue to grow our educational outreach and steward The Museum’s future.”

In addition to the new Officers, the Board elected several new members: Andrea Silverman, Arlene Stevens, Corey Kleinman, Emily Eisenberg, Eric Feder, Mark Gordon, and Melissa Meshil, as well as welcomed back  Sandy Mermelstein who had served on the Board many years ago and is the daughter of the founder of The Museum. These individuals bring diverse expertise and a shared passion for justice and remembrance. The Museum is grateful to its strategy partners at ORIANA solutions, LLC, for executing this successful search as a part of their broader transition support.

The new members will join returning members Donna Huneycutt, Ezra Singer, Ira Birns, Julie Klavans, Rachael Worthington, Toni Rinde, and Michael Igel.
