The Florida Holocaust Museum to offer free admission to active duty military personnel and their families through Blue Star Museums

The Florida Holocaust Museum is offering free admission to United States active duty military personnel and their families, starting on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 26, 2018. This program continues throughout the summer and ends on Labor Day on Monday, September 3, 2018.

Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across the nation. The Florida Holocaust Museum is one of 2,000 museums nationwide participating in Blue Star Museums.

Blue Star Museums works to improve the quality of life for active duty military families. We would like to offer the opportunity for active duty military families to visit The Florida Holocaust Museum this summer and spend quality time together.

Free admission is available for those currently serving in the United States Military – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard as well as Active Duty and Reservists, National Guardsman (regardless of status), U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps, and up to five family members.

A military ID holder and up to five family members are granted free admission to the museum. The military ID holder can either be active duty service or other dependent family member with the appropriate ID card. It is not required that the active duty member be present for family members to use the program. Please bring your DD Form 1173 ID Card, or DD Form 1173-1 ID Card, for active duty military family members.

We thank you for your service and hope to see you at The Florida Holocaust Museum soon!
