In Memory of Jackie Albin

The FHM mourns Holocaust Survivor and FHM Docent Jacqueline (Jackie) Albin.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Albin was born in Belfort, France in 1937, and spent her early childhood evading Nazi persecution alongside her mother and newborn sister while her father fought with the French Resistance.

With the help of a friend who risked his own family’s safety to protect them, Jackie, her mother, and her sister escaped the occupied zone.

Jackie cared deeply about Holocaust education, and spent countless hours volunteering her time at The FHM. As a Docent and speaker, she told her story to students of all ages. She also donated her father’s French Resistance artifacts to The Museum’s collection and commemorated her lost family members through the Shoah Victims’ Names Recovery Project.

May her memory be for a blessing.
